The Toyota Supra is a sports car that was built by the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota from 1979. The fourth generation was built until 2002, after which Toyota only released the fifth generation in 2019, 17 years later. The Supra and Celica are related to each other and are collectively referred to as Toyota's GT Family. Toyota decided to make one successor for both cars before 2019: the Toyota GT86, named after the Toyota AE86, a legendary Toyota Corolla that counted as the last rear-wheel drive Corolla. The fifth generation A90 Supra was released only in 2019.

The previous, barely noticeable Supra was replaced in 1994, after twelve years (a few years later than planned), by a more controversial model. A car that was hardly reminiscent of the previous generation. Toyota has not only given the Supra a new look, but also a new engine. Furthermore, the car has been greatly improved on several points. All this with the intention of making this GT a real sports car that had to compete with sports cars such as the Nissan 300ZX, Mazda RX-7, Honda NSX and the Mitsubishi 3000GT. The new Supra is not only stronger than its predecessor, it is also lighter. The weight savings have mainly been achieved by constructing a large number of components differently and/or making them lighter. For example, the bonnet is made of aluminum and the petrol tank is made of plastic. Furthermore, the two-piece exhaust system was replaced by a single-piece version, and the electronically adjustable damping and telescopic steering wheel adjustment were deleted.

The car is very popular in Japan, Europe and especially the United States, they are also more common in the Netherlands nowadays. Many Supras can be seen in the tuning scene and in the D1 Grand Prix. Separate front & rear bumpers.
