So you don't affect the roll center. This because of the split structure made from aluminium center piece and and the 2 carbon sides. Its super handy when you want to play with the current trend of longer stroke shocks and curved suspension arms. This give you more options to always mount the shock that its operation in the most effective stroke. And in addition the shock design also offers 13 steps of the shock upper mounting point.
